Josh Hunter Charlotte North Carolina Architectural Photographer

It all comes down to design. I thoroughly enjoy documenting and appreciating well thought out and aesthetically pleasing design whether it be man made, found in nature, or a combination of both.

Behind The Lens

First and foremost, thank you for taking to the time to check out my work. My focus is on architectural and interior photography, but I also enjoy shooting landscapes and cityscapes when I get the chance.

Originally Im from a small town in Eastern North Carolina, but most recently have spent several years living in Rhode Island, until my wife and I made the decision to move back to North Carolina in 2024. We are currently settled outside of Charlotte with our two beautiful babies.

Ive been photographing architecture and documenting the built environment for about five years now. My goal as an architectural photographer is to capture a building or space as it naturally exists within its surrounding environment as well as showcasing its intended function and design in everyday life.

I enjoy photographing all types of architecture. A few of my favorite styles are contemporary, Neo-futurism, modern, brutalist, and many of the historical styles such as Victorian. My interest in architecture started at an early age. When I used to ride around town with my mom looking at newly constructed homes, and as a past time I would try to sketch buildings that I come up with in my imagination. Oh and Im also left-handed! I wanted to be an architect as a kid, and although I didn’t end up going that route, I think it’s fitting that Ive become an architectural photographer.
